TNT receives grant for new computers

CADILLAC - Traverse Narcotics Team officers will be able to find information a little faster thanks to a grant from Cadillac Area Community Foundation.

The CACF awarded TNT a $4,000 grant for the purchase of three new computers Thursday.

TNT board members as well as TNT Commander Chet Wilson, were in attendance to accept the check.

Wilson said the grant was needed.

"This was heaven sent for us. Our computer equipment is approximately five to six years old. It would not support the new computer reporting systems we have to work from," he said.

Executive Director for the CACF Linda Kimbel said TNT's request for grant money fell in line with what the foundation's goals are.

"We review every grant request we receive and this seemed to fit all the criteria. Our goal's to help every individual and enhance their quality of life in the Cadillac area," she said.

"It was just perfect. I'm pleased we could help them."

The CACF is a publicly-supported organization that is funded by donors from the Cadillac area.
