Committee considers shared IT position

CADILLAC - A shared information technology position with Osceola County continues to be pursued by Wexford County.

County Administrator Mike Sutter plans to present a job description and tentative agreement between the counties to the Wexford human relations committee Tuesday.

"Once these documents are approved by the HR committee, they can be moved to finance for further discussion in January," Sutter said.

The agreement calls for Osceola County to employ the person with a targeted cost of the position at $70,430. Wexford County would pay 60 percent of the salary and Osceola County 40 percent. The person would work in Wexford County three days per week.

Also on the agenda is a discussion about security policy, the county's retirement policies and membership composition of the planning commission.

The committee meets 4 p.m. Tuesday in the circuit court jury room of the courthouse.
