It's in the air.

National Football League teams have started, high schools across the state will start Monday and Cadillac Football League Pop Warner players had their first taste of football season with a three day camp.

The CFL has been around for seven years and the YMCA CFL Football Camp has been around for three of them. The purpose of the camp is to give the Pop Warner players a little refresher course prior to the beginning of the season and practice on Aug. 21. Whether it is the perfect three-point stance or doing a bear crawl, the fundamentals of both offense and defense were taught.

The camp started Tuesday and continued through Thursday. The first day offensive skills were taught with defensive attributes taking center stage Wednesday. On the camp's final day a culmination of the two wrapped things up.

Although the camp is over, anyone interested in signing up for season may still do so by contacting Brian Priddle at 920-8665.
