Evart projects funded

EVART - Evart City Council approved expenditures for several projects Monday.

A $10,000 expenditure was allocated for electrical work as part of Guyton Memorial Park renovations. A $2,500 request from the Department of Public Works was approved for maintenance and repair work on the generator servicing the municipal well field. An expenditure of $4,500 was okayed for tree purchases.

City Manager Roger Elkins noted a grant award for $6,000 was received from the Environmental Stewardship Fund for construction of a rain garden for capturing city rainwater runoff. He also noted a grant application has been submitted to the Department of Natural Resources for recreational improvements.
