Flint man dies from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning BALDWIN - A 59-year-old Flint man died Tuesday after an apparent carbon monoxide poisoning. The man drove up Monday night in preparation of the opening day of rifle deer hunting season. When he went to sleep, however, he never woke up, according to Lake County Undersheriff Michael Dermyer. The cause of death was a propane space heater. “He was sleeping in an old 13 by 14 foot camping trailer,” he said. “Every year we have accidental deaths during deer season. I dread deer season and I like to hunt.” Rifle season started Wednesday and lasts through Nov. 30.
