Lake City man sentencing for building crime

LAKE CITY — An 18-year-old Lake City man was sentenced Thursday in 28th Circuit Court in Lake City on a charge of malicious destruction of a building, greater than $1,000 but less than $20,000 and breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny.

Andrew Lee White was sentenced to two concurrent sentences of 365 days with credit for 47 days served. He also was given 24 months probation and $4,170 in restitution.

White formerly pleaded not guilty to the charge, which follows a Dec. 15, 2006 incident in Lake City.

Also in circuit court:

  • Alexander Joseph Dennis, 20, of Cadillac was sentenced on a charge of malicious destruction of property, greater than $1,000 but less than $20,000 and a probation violation.

    Dennis was sentenced to 321 days in jail with credit for 321 days served after he pleaded guilty to the charges.

    Dennis is being released to the Goodwill House for 60 to 90 days. Sentencing follows an incident in Goodrich Township.

  • Patrick Shane O’Quin, 28, of Lake City pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance Oxycodone.

    In exchange for his plea, a habitual offender third offense notice was dismissed. O’Quin faces up to two years in jail and a $2,000 fine.

    The plea follows a Nov. 9, 2006 incident in Caldwell Township, court records indicate.

  • Patrick Daniel Foster, 17, of Lake City pleaded guilty to possession of analogues.

    In exchange for his plea, a charge of possession of cocaine, less than 25 grams, and possession of marijuana were dismissed.

    The plea follows a Feb. 9, 2007 incident in Lake City, court records indicate.

  • Aaron Michael Schut, 20, of McBain pleaded guilty to a charge of maintaining a drug house.

    In exchange for his plea, charges of delivery or manufacture of marijuana and possession of analogues were dismissed.

    The plea follows a Dec. 28, 2006 incident in Richland Township, court records indicate.

  • William Robert Lecluyse, 42, of Ray Township pleaded guilty to a charge of fleeing and eluding a police officer, fourth degree.

    In exchange for his plea, four misdemeanors and a habitual offender fourth offense notice were dismissed. During sentencing, Lecluyse will be treated as a two-time habitual offender as part of the plea deal.

    Lecluyse faces up to two years and $2,000 for the charge, which follows a Feb. 11, 2006 incident in Forest Township.

  • Cheryl Lynn Vancil, 45, of Alta Vista, Virg. was sentenced on a charge of possession of a non-narcotic controlled substance.

    Vancil was sentenced to 30 days jail with credit for two days served. She formerly pleaded guilty to the charge.

    The charges follow incidents in Forest Township from Aug. 22, 2005 to Aug. 30, 2005.

  • Todd Jeffrey Tramel, 43, of Merritt was sentenced on a charge of maintaining a drug house.

    Tramel was sentenced to 30 days jail with credit for two days served. He formerly pleaded guilty to the charge.

    The plea follows an Oct. 3, 2006 in Enterprise Township.

  • Kimberly Lynn Ball, 19, of Mancelona was sentenced on a charge of breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny.

    Ball was ordered to pay court costs and fines totaling $695. The sentencing follows incidents in Norwich Township from June 10, 2005 to June 17, 2005, court records indicate.
