United Way hosts recognition luncheon

CADILLAC — United Way of Wexford County will recognize its top leadership donors at a recognition luncheon 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cadillac Grill. All donors who have contributed gifts over $500 are considered members of the United Way Leadership Circle and will be honored for their support and commitment.

The luncheon, sponsored by Baker College of Cadillac, is a new event for the United Way of Wexford County and will include the awarding of its first United Way Leadership Award.

Paul Liabenow, board president, will present the Leadership Award to an individual who has been an outstanding example in three areas based on: 1) He/she is a consistent leadership donor to United Way of Wexford County; 2) He/She is a dedicated volunteer for community charitable organizations; and 3) He/She is an outstanding promoter of philanthropy in our community.

Attendees will also be first to learn of the United Way of Wexford County funding awards for the new fiscal year.
