CADILLAC — Children and adults, gear heads and film buffs: everyone was able to find something to enjoy this weekend at the Cadillac Lakes Cruise and Car Show.
Entries came from across Michigan, through the decades, and in all sizes, shapes, and colors.
As I walked down Main Street with my grandma, she was able to reminisce about the “good ole days‘ as she passed the cars from “her time‘ and the memories surrounding them. Children got to see their favorite heroes through a different medium, and I got to see a real-life version of the General Lee Dodge Charger I grew up watching in Dukes of Hazzard.
Generations of families were able to bond over one thing — these cars as they hit another stop on their tour of shows for the summer.
Gary McConnel of Chesaning already has an entire weekend planned in St. Ignace for the big car show at the end of the month.
“It’ll be our fifth year up there,‘ he said.
