LAKE CITY -- This is a common scene on Sunday evenings in Lake City during the summer months: lots of cars and folding chairs spread across the grounds behind the Evangelical Presbyterian Church building on M-55 just. On Sunday, July 14, singer Pastor Greg DuBois and wife Kathy on the guitar provided the inspiring, God-honoring music from the stage when the quartet that was scheduled to appear had to cancel late because of a medical emergency. Everything went well, though. There was an excellent turnout and all the funds raised from the offering that night went to the church's new food pantry outreach that is slated to begin on Aug. 8.
The drive-in concerts each Sunday go from 6 to 7 p.m. and are free to attend. The public is cordially invited. Free popcorn is provided along with the free music. A free-will offering is taken during the concert to benefit the artist. This Sunday, July 21, the popular Beulah Land Quartet returns to the EPC stage.
