FALMOUTH - A small, vibrant church is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a summer filled with special activities and events.

Prosper Christian Reformed Church, 20 miles east of Falmouth, has a 125-year history of offering praise and worship.

From 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, the Prosper CRC is hosting a car, truck and bike show at the Missaukee Falmouth Community Center in Falmouth.

Entries are welcome.

"There are no guidelines," said organizer Erik VanHouten. "If you are proud to own something that has a motor, bring it in. We will have old John Deere tractors and a Corvette edition of a Harley Davidson. Kids can bring their bikes. We will also have a 1929 Chrysler sedan and an old Model A on display."

The $20 entry fee will be donated to the church outreach program.

"We will have music on speakers," VanHouten added. "We will have Little Town jerky brats and hot dogs for sale and there will be first and second place prizes, for kids, too."

Prizes will be awarded by popular ticket votes.The first place adult prize for the vehicles is a $400 detailing from Don's Auto Clinic in Cadillac. There will be "best in class" medals and more.
