CADILLAC — Charity Dostal, a nursing student at Baker College of Cadillac, was one of three Michigan college students chosen to attend and present at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) semi-annual meeting in Washington D.C. last month. The scholarships were awarded by the Michigan Association of Colleges of Nursing (MACN).

Charity was joined by students from Calvin College and Grand Valley State University. Together they attended and participated in the AACN meeting. Charity also met with staff members of Michigan’s two U.S. senators, Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters, to express her support for the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act, which, among other things, supports educational opportunities for current or aspiring nurses.

Charity, a Cadillac resident, is a senior at Baker and will be graduating in December 2019.
