CADILLAC — A 21-year-old Manton woman is facing a methamphetamine-related charge after she was arraigned recently in 84th District Court.
Amber Star Vandenabeele was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine for her connection with an incident on or about June 4 in Cadillac. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison and/or $15,000 in fines.
The charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. Vandenabeele is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The prosecution has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
A $50,000 cash or surety bond was issued and a probable cause conference was scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 11.
