CADILLAC — Troopers from the Cadillac Michigan State Police Post are asking for the public's help in locating a white male and female who allegedly stole several items from the Traverse City Menards on June 13.

In a press release from the Cadillac post, after the duo reportedly stole several small items a store employee followed them into the parking of the home improvement retailer to attempt to get the stolen items back.

The female suspect ignored the employee and got into the driver's seat of a silver GMC SUV that had several stickers on the rear window, police said. The vehicle also had no license plate but rather a temporary registration. The employee continued to ask for the items back but the female suspect put the vehicle into reverse and struck the Menards employee with the SUV, which knocked them back but did not injure them, according to police.

After the incident at the store and parking lot, troopers were sent to investigate.

The female suspect is described as between 5'4"-5'6" tall, heavier set with dark brown and curly hair, according to police. She also was seen wearing glasses. She also has unknown tattoos on her upper left chest and lower right back, according to police.

The male suspect is described as between 5'7"-5'9" tall, with a thinner build and blonde or orangish blonde hair color.

Anyone with information which might help to identify the involved subjects is asked to call the Cadillac Michigan State Police Post at (231) 779-6040.
