CADILLAC — The July 4 holiday may start the month off with a bang but UWE Pro Wrestling is looking to end the month with the same patriotic theme with its upcoming Red, White and Bruised event.

The July 27 show will feature the best wrestling talent in UWE Pro Wrestling including De La Sombra, The Michigan Made Monster Mongo, Kyle Blanchard and more. New UWE Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Max Morrison will face off against Project Maxx rival and Revolution member Psychotic Jimmy Blaze.

Also during the upcoming event, Jay Nova will look to silence his biggest critic UWE commentator Capt. Spicolli in a match while Mongo who won the Master of the Universe is still hanging around waiting to cash in the case at any time for a title shot.

The Main Event at the event will be the Lumberjack Strap Match with Bruiser Mass Index members Breathtaking Mike Idol and The Bruiser Jamie Race taking on members of Revolution Indy Icon Eric Freedom and The Exception Scotty D. During the match, fans will line the outside of the ring armed with leather straps and any wrestlers that falls to the floor is fair game to be hit with the straps until they touch the ring again.

As always the UWE show will include lighting, Titantron-styled entrance videos for wrestlers and an atmosphere of excitement, according to UWE wrestler and promotor Eric Freedom.

Professional Wrestling has been a traditional spectacle in Michigan for more than a century and is experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Legends such as George "The Animal" Steele, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash, Scott and Rick Steiner, Rob Van Dam, and Rhyno are some of the superstars known for their professional wrestling careers among Baby Boomers and Generation X fans alike who hail from the Wolverine state.

Freedom once again gives his guarantee that no matter your age or interest, Red, White and Bruised will be the best three hours money can buy.

“I promise everyone a great time at UWE Pro Wrestling’s Red, White and Bruised," Freedom said. “In fact, I am so confident in our abilities that I am offering a money-back guarantee for anyone that doesn’t have a great time.‘

Created in 2003 by Freedom and Tracy Hannigan, UWE Pro Wrestling honors the long-standing tradition of great wrestling with the best independent professional wrestling in Michigan, while assisting local charities and organizations simultaneously.
