KEY WEST — Jerry Vollmar died on April 14, 2019 at his winter home in Key West. He spent his last months enjoying the sunshine and ocean breezes surrounded by many friends.

He returned to Cadillac where he met and married his wife of 45 years, Nancy Patten Vollmar.
Jerry was a businessman who owned and operated Bryan Brothers Music for 25 years. Most recently he was the owner of Mr. Foisies Pasties. He believed the best career choice was to be your own boss and encouraged others to follow this advice.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Denny Patten; his mother, Clarice Vollmar Bryan and stepfather, Bill Bryan; his sister-in-law, Kitty Langlois of Muskegon; his brother, Tim Vollmar of Cadillac; and his son, Tony Vollmar.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Brooke of Venice, Florida; and his three granddaughters, Bailie Traviss, Jaiden Vollmar and Nora Vollmar, all of Cadillac. He was the much loved “Uncle Jer‘ to many nieces and nephews and their children.
In honor of his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal ceremony. He asked to be remembered with laughter.
