Police looking for man in connection with armed robbery on Nelson Street

Police are searching the area of Nelson Street in Cadillac after a report came in that a man entered a home with a handgun and robbed someone.

CADILLAC — Police are searching the area of Nelson Street in Cadillac after a report came in that a man entered a home with a handgun and robbed someone.

Cadillac Police Officer Jeff Rork said they are still trying to determine what happened, so details at this time are limited.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall in his 50s or 60s.

He was wearing a black, hooded Carhartt with a bandana over his face.

He was described as having yellowish, wrinkled skin on his hands.

Rork said the person who called in about the robbery reported that the man exited the house to a nearby alley but they did not know which direction he went.

The call came in a short time before 4 p.m. Thursday.

Cadillac police, Wexford County Sheriff's deputies and the Michigan State Police are searching.

They also called in a K-9 to assist in the search.

Rork said for people living in the area to be vigilant of their surroundings and keep their lights on.
