TRAVERSE CITY — Cadillac dropped a close decision to Traverse City Central, 5-3, in a Big North Conference girls tennis match on Tuesday.

"Today's match against Central was an exciting one," Cadillac coach Erin Schaefer said. "The girls really played tough, showing their mental strength and determination.

"We look forward to building onto these strengths in our upcoming matches."

Frida Dahlstrand lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Alana Hill lost 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2.

Oakley Mickelson won 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 at No. 3 while Olivia Outman won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4.

Macy Brown and Sarah Brackenrich lost 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles while Staci Beydoun and Lexi Johnson lost 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2.

Libbey Lloyd and Chloe Comstock lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 while Emily Sims and Ella Darrow won 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 at No. 4.

Cadillac is at Alpena on Thursday.

• TC Central won the JV match 6-2.

Juli Ann Lang won 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 at No. 1 singles while Amanda Blackmer lost 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.

Zoey Feister won by forfeit at No. 3 while Taylor McBrian lost 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4.

Emma Podzamsky and Shay Rossell lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles while Drew Reed and Brittney Byers lost 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2.

Loriana Dostal and Jordan Rogers lost 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 while Maddie Taylor and Leandra Boyles lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.
